Best catfish anywhere. The owner catches and cleans them. Trust me this is the best catfish joint you'll ever find. Only drawback is it's hard to get a seat!!!

I have came to this restaurant with my family since I was young. We have tried all of them down by the river and this is where you go for great fish! They have a decent kids menu and the desserts are ok but the catfish is the best!

This is my favorite place to eat when I visit my parents. The food is great and the portions are large. The prices are great also for the amount of food you receive. I love the catfish and jalapeño hush puppies. The service is great except when it gets real busy, then the poor waitresses are just trying to maintain as a other business. Would highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Ran across this place on a daytrip and I'm glad of it. This place has some of the best catfish I've ever had. It was fresh and perfectly prepared. The sides were also very good. It's not a fancy place, but you should get that from the name. You might have to look twice to find it because the sign is covered by some massive sunflowers growing out front.

Only open a couple days a week. You need to call ahead of time to ensure it is open. If your shirt has sleeves, your over dressed.
Owned and operated by a fisherman who catches what he serves the Rivershack is right on the Tennessee River, but only has a view of an industrial area. It does not matter because the restaurant has only one window to look out of and the shades are always closed.
Catfish is fresh everything else is frozen. Keep in mind "everything else" is very limited (Burgers, chicken fingers and maybe a hot dog) If you don't want catfish go somewhere else. But if your in the mood for Tennessee River catfish, this is the place to go.
